Editor, the Advocate:
After serving on a jury last year in a case tried by Constance Filley Johnson, I was very surprised to hear Steve Tyler say that she had no courtroom experience.
I observed Mrs. Johnson's demeanor and skill in trial firsthand and must say that I was very impressed by the professional way she handled herself.
I stayed after the trial was over to compliment Constance on the job she did and met a dignified, well-spoken lady.
I have had the pleasure of crossing her path again since then at various community events and have seen her commitment to improving our community firsthand.
I was delighted when Constance announced her bid for Victoria County Criminal District Attorney.
It has been evident to me that Victoria needs a change in leadership in our District Attorney's Office, and I can think of no one better suited to implement that change.
Constance Filley Johnson has my vote!
